SunRice Coly Cook Off 2018

The Sunrice Coly Cook-Off is a popular event where contestants create, prepare and serve a main and dessert dish using at least one Sunrice ingredient and one other ingredient produced in the local area.

There are two categories:
  •  Junior (8-15 yrs)  
  • Open (16+ years)
Celebrity Guest Foodie, Luke Piccolo and his partner Fabiola Valtolina will be our expert judges and  will award prizes in the relevant categories. ​

Starting Times:
  • Junior (8-15 yrs) :   10am - 11am  (45 minutes to cook and serve) 
  • Open (16+ yrs) :     1pm - 2.30pm (60 minutes to cook and serve)

Luke Piccolo Demonstration: 12pm - 1 pm

RULES
  • JUNIOR CONTESTANTS - To create and prepare a SIGNATURE BURGER using at least one "Sunrice" or affiliated product and one locally produced product. 
  • OPEN CONTESTANTS - Open contestants will be required to prepare a 2 course  meal of a main and a dessert of their choice using at least one  "SunRice" or affiliated product and at least one locally produced product.
  • All contestants (Junior and Open) will have to make two serves of their dishes to be plated for tasting and judging. 
  • Each contestant will be required to provide their recipe/recipes used highlighting the use of the required ingredients.
  • All preparation is to be completed during the allotted time.
  • Tables for preparation will be provided, along with a slush bucket and a rubbish bag.
  • Contestants will have to provide their own gas powered cook tops and all other cooking equipment.
  • Power will not be available for use - no electrical appliances can be used.
  • After cooking, all contestants must clean down their own area and remove all rubbish.
  • Teams of 1 or 2 allowed
  • Registrations will close 5pm, Friday 19th October 2018.
  • Late applications at the discretion of the organiser.
  • Photos of the event may be used in future advertising and media purposes.
