SunRice Coly Cook Off 2022

The Sunrice Coly Cook-Off is a popular event where contestants create, prepare and serve a dish using at least one Sunrice product and one other ingredient produced in the local area.

There are two categories:
  •  Junior (9 yrs and under)  
  • Open (10 years and over)
​Celebrity Guest Foodie, Jamie Shepley will be our expert judge and  will award prizes in the relevant categories.​
​Guest Foodie Cooking Demonstration: 11.30am - 12.30 pm

Competition Time: 1pm - 2pm

Junior Prizes: 
1st Place :  $150                 
Runner Up : $75             
Most Innovative : $50

RULES​​
  • JUNIOR CONTESTANTS - To create and prepare your most IMAGINATIVE DISH using your choice of SunRice Snack Product (eg brown rice chips, rice cakes, mini pops or mini bites). This dish can be sweet or savoury but it must be tasty.
  • OPEN CONTESTANTS - Open Contestants will be required to prepare their SIGNATURE RICE DISH, it can be sweet or savoury. This dish MUST include one "SunRice" rice blend or other pre-made Sunrice product, and one or more locally produced products.
  • All contestants (Junior and Open) will have to make one serve of their dish to be plated for tasting and judging. 
  • Each contestant will be required to provide the recipe used, highlighting the use of the required ingredients.
  • Tables for preparation will be provided, along with a slush bucket and a rubbish bag.
  • Contestants will have to provide their own gas-powered cook tops, all other cooking equipment, as well as ingredients & serving plates.
  • Power will not be available for use - no electrical appliances can be used.
  • After cooking, all contestants must clean down their own area and remove all rubbish.
  • Teams of 1 or 2 are allowed
  • Registrations will close 5pm, Thursday 27th October 2022
  • Late applications will be considered at the discretion of the organiser.
  • Photos of the event may be used in future advertising and media purposes.
